Harken Marine Grip Tape - Honeycomb - Translucent White - 12 Pieces

Wet fiberglass, a dewy dock, and slick steps are easy places to lose your footing. Harken Marine Grip is a thin, nonabrasive grip tape made for those spots. This pack has 12 pieces in a honeycomb pattern and translucent white, so it blends into a white deck or a light dock board instead of covering it with black stripes. Because it is nonabrasive, Harken says it will not scuff clothing, wetsuits, or bare feet the way sandpaper-style tread can, and it is nonabsorbent, UV stable, and rated for all temperatures. Harken also says it grips better than other adhesive treads and board waxes.

Who it suits

  • Boat owners who want sure footing on the bow, the swim platform, or the boarding ladder steps.
  • Lake cabin and dock owners who want grip on the dock edge and the stairs down to the water.
  • Paddlers and paddleboarders who stand or kneel on a smooth deck and want grip that is easy on skin.

Not the right tape for

Covering a whole deck. This is a pack of 12 pieces for the spots where feet land, not a full nonskid surface. If you want a black finish on the same tape, see Harken Marine Grip Tape, 3 x 12 in, black, 8 pieces.

Before you buy

  • The listing does not give the size of each piece or how to prep the surface. Ask us before you order if you need to plan a layout.
  • Most adhesive treads hold best on a clean, dry, smooth surface. Wash off wax, salt, and algae and let it dry before applying.
  • Lay the pieces out first to plan where feet actually land, like the first step of a ladder or the edge where you climb aboard.
  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery, and the item must be unused, complete, and in its original packaging. Some items are final sale. See Shipping and Returns.
